I am fond of series like "friends", "coupling", "urgence"...
I am searching for people, who like me, want to talk about it( in english of course!!).

Rachel I am the one, I love " ER" (urgences) in Vo even if it is hard.
My favourite is " Friends" really funny and useful to learn English

I like that kind of series & watch a lot in english..
I love "friends" ,my favourite character is Joey,he is so cute & funny
I' v watched a lot of funny ancient series like "full house" ,"mad about you" and "becker" ...they are very funny,and,as babyscot s said ,useful to learn english! but I v never watched that "coupling",is it funny?

I know "made about you" too bad that this serie isn't on Tv anymore.
Coupling is very funny, this show reminds me a little bit friends because there is 6 characters (3 boys-3 girls) always at the cofee house...
One of the character used to act on Beverly hills during the last season.
I don't remember her name, she was Steve's wife.

Phoebe is my favourite, she seems to be nutty but in fact she always sees things on their right side, she's a veg and animal-lover!!!

I used to be a big fan of X-files when I was 13 14 years old, today i like it but not so much.
The personalities of Mulder and scully are totally differents but complementary. They looked like a perfect couple!
If you've got the channel "Série club" you can still watch X-files.

Does somebody know the show "niptuck"?
with Julian McMahon(Cole turner/Charmed).The show is about aesthetic surgery, it's quit hard.

it s just amazing!!

In certain way the show "Niptuck" denouce those practical!

well, I don't want to make up one's mind but when baby said "it's stupid"
to me he was talking about the show, the show consits to change people appearance in live...and i think it's stupid too

But surgery in general makes miracle and that's amazing!!

Hmmmm I wanted to say it s evident that he would find it stupid & disgusting cause he s a guy,u know,it can be disgusting for a guy to see that kind of surgeries...but not for a girl,that was my point of view.

...as I say before It's stupid to show anonymous people on tv (before and after surgery) you know what i mean!
It is the principle of showing that on tv wich disturbs me.

In life surgery is amazing namely in case of big crash, if you are disfigure: thanks surgery!

well,I got what you mean,but in that show,women didnt want to change their appearence just to be beautiful,but be cause they were really ugly & had a lot of psychic troubles be cause of that...and as one of the partakers said in the show:" people dont know what it would be like to be ugly & teased & hurted from pple...."
Another one was always called "the witch" in school be cause of her weird nose,she has no friend...no self-confidence...and that show give her the opportunity to become beautiful & change her life!!

sure it will change a lot!!!
They wont be ugly anymore,they will have more self-confidence,they wont be afraid of going out & meeting pple....
lots of them,prefered to stay at home away from pple,
lots of them had problems with their husbands & boyfriends cause they cheated them & went out with other women more beautiful & attractive....so they felt down..& preferd to shut up and pretend to dont care cause they dont want to be alone==that leads to psychic troubles & depressions
Becoming beautiful & attractive will make them self-confident ==that very important & can change their life!!believe me

one of my favourite Tv-program used to be Brother CAdfael , it was broadcast on RTL9. It is based on a series of Books by Ellis Peters, she is still alive and her character is a Monk in the Middle-ages, leading investigations in an abbay. It is quite easy to read in English and absolutely amazing in French.

well, Oprah Winfrey is one of the most influential people of 2004.
I think she makes her talk show more immediate, confessional, personal...
because she discusses with celebrities, experts, parents, children, family...

To my mind her and her show are great and real!

What was the subject she talked about that u liked a lot?
for me,it was ,when she talked about the dark side of motherhood!!!can u believe that?! nobody could talk about that....but in her show there were lot of women who dare for the first time & tell her about their own experience..it was just wonderful! did u see that? if so,what do u think about what they have said?

Then I recently discover a Tv show called "That's 70's show", it's a show which takes place in the 70's, the characters are young, about 16-17 years old. It's very funny.
One of the main character is Aschton kutcher.

What do you think about it?
