Hi everyone!
Could anyone help me with these words? I thought I had heard the words: "trailing spouse" to describe the woman/man who moves to a new area to follow their partner's job demands. I can't find this expression in the dictionary so I'm wondering, perhaps I'm confusing with another expression. Thanksyou for your answers. mariaa

Problems of Two-Career Families Start Forcing Businesses to Adapt” p. 29: Another personnel man remembers the promising executive he lost because her husband was a dentist who couldn’t find a good practice to join in the area. To cope with this problem, some 150 northern New Jersey employers participate in an employer job bank. The bank is designed to provide job leads for “the trailing spouse” of a newly hired or transferred executive.

Thank you for your answer Tinchodoc. I hadn't thought of looking up those words on internet. Wise idea. I'll think about next time.
