arm could only be armless, point be pointless, hand handless , speech, specchless.
But it is only guessing way of viewing things, intuiive way of answering. have you any rules to answer trully or should I learn answer one by one?

i think you have no answer be cause those words dont even exist!
i dont know if i got what you mean about the rules.....but i can say that you can make sure before you answer...& there are many ways to do that!

I guess that armless and handless describe someone who doesn't have arms or hands, respectively. But I don't think I've ever heard of these words. (However, I do know headless.)
On the other hand, an armful is an amount that fills the space of the arms.
"He was carrying an armful of groceries, so I offered to help him."
