Description (y a-t-il des fautes ?)
Message de groovy posté le 11-11-2007 à 16:42:21 (S | E | F | I)

Bonjour !

The document is a photo in black and white portraying 2 black children and 3 white ones, meeting in the street. We could divide it into 2 parts : the foreground and the background.

I propose to begin with black people who's on the left hand-side. A little girl wearing white clothes is carrying a white cat. Someone whom we can consider like her big brother is near her and wearing a white tee-shirt and striped shorts. He's hiding a baseball mitt behind his back. Both seem to be shy, looking at the white family who's in front of them.
Let's now focus on the white people who are three : two boys and a little girl. Every of them stare at the two black people and seem to ask them to play with : they are slanting toward them, the hands behind their backs. One of them, the littlest boy, is wearing baseball clothes and a cap on the head, certainly a baseball one too. The other boy has got baseball mitts in the left hand. We can also notice that a black dog is sitting at his feet, staring at the white cat. I want to point out that the black family has got a white pet, and the white family has got a black one so as to make a contrast.

Let us now concentrate on the foreground. A man wearing a cap is carrying a big suitcase. He's certainly a removal man, but he can also be a friend of the moving family or one of its new neighbour. He's into a removal van but we can't be really certain if he's emptying the van or if he's filling the van with it. A little further are stacked up a lot of different objects which form a heap. We can notice principally a lamp, an armchair and something looking like a frame.

We can wonder who is the family who's moving : either it's the white one or it's the black one. Two arguments are in favour of the second possibility : firstly, they are in the same side as the heap of things and the removal man is walking towards them. Then, they seem more shy than the white family. So, let us now consider that the family who's moving is the black one.

The main and last question we can wonder is if the black people are going to move from the street which we can see on the photo or if they have just coming in the new house. In the first case, the white family is asking the black one to play a last time with them to say good bye and its attitude is that of a sad one. In the other case, they want to play with them to become friendly with their new neighbour and their attitude is that of a curious and friendship one. In any case, even if the black people seems to be very shy, they seems to agree to play baseball with the other one because the two family have got baseball mitts.

Pour le début je metterais: " This document is a black-white photography who include 2 black chlidrens and 3 white ones are meeting on the street."

Bonjour,

Bye ;)

Bonsoir,
