Bonsoir !

J'ai besoin de votre avis s'il vous plaît sur les erreurs de grammaire ou de syntaxe dans mon texte :

3. The major cultures are ethnic, economic, religious and political-legal cultures. The study of those cultures is an adequate way to approach American society.
First of all, the Protestant dominant culture from the British Isles was responsible for new intuitions as political, social, constitutional and religious institutions. The impact of these values are still felt: individualism, a Protestant work ethic, and the rule of law. The origin of American culture also comes from African slaves and Native Americans. Nowadays, a large variety of other nationalities immigrated to the USA. The study of the major cultures explains that there are difficulties of integration due to language, or cultural practices. For example, minorities immigrant population as Latinos think freedom is not always respected in reality.
It also explains conflicts and racial tensions between people from different origin.
Religion is the second major American culture, brought from colonists, slaves and immigrants. The political-legal culture helps to solidify the society and minimize conflict. But politics in America are very oppositional, it can play a divisive role in the US society. A lot of people are not registered to vote.
Linked to the economic culture, the competitive nature of American life explains wealth and social inequalities.
4. I think the public opinion poll give a bad picture of the USA . According to the CBS, the most important problem for the American people is economy, then war in Iraq and health care in 2008. Opinion poll is in line with the economic crisis which affected wealth inequalities, thus health care. It is said by an Economist poll that 83 percent of respondents felt the economy getting worse.
About the state of the nation: people are sceptical about the future of the USA. Tough opinion polls give the same result with different figures, it is in keeping with political disagreement between government and society between 2004 and 2008.
A good reference obtained though the US Census 2000 Supplemental Survey, shows that the majority of Americans find their origin in Europe. Nevertheless, what people fell about their origins are false. Some people qualify their origin as American, which is a patriotic symbol. It also shows that their roots are not very clear. According to government polls, many Americans see immigration as a problem : it explains a raise in racism in America.

Merci beaucoup !!

Hello.

The major cultures are ethnic, economic, religious and political-legal (cultures). The study of those cultures is an adequate way to approach American society. (I think a word is missing...approach to __ing American society).
First of all, the Protestant dominant (word order)culture from the British Isles was responsible for new intuitions ___ as political, social, constitutional and religious institutions. The impact of these values are (agreement) still felt: individualism, a Protestant work ethic, and the rule of law. The origin of American culture also comes from African slaves and Native Americans. Nowadays, a large variety of other nationalities __ immigrated (simple past tense isn't best with nowadays) to the USA. The study of the major cultures explains that there are difficulties of integration due to language, or/(and?) cultural practices. For example, minorities immigrant populations __ as Latinos think freedom is not always respected in reality.
It also explains conflicts and racial tensions between people from different origin. (of different/from different origins)
Religion is the second major American culture, brought from colonists, slaves and immigrants. The political-legal culture helps to solidify the society and minimize conflict. But politics in America are(agreement) very oppositional, it can play a divisive role in the US society. A lot of people are not registered to vote. (Can you relate this sentence better to the previous sentence?)
Linked to the economic culture, the competitive nature of American life explains wealth and social inequalities.
4. I think the public opinion polls give a bad picture of the USA . According to the CBS, the most important problem for (the) American people is __ economy, then __ war in Iraq and health care (in 2008). Opinion polls is in line with the economic crisis which affected wealth inequalities, __ thus health care. It is said by an Economist poll that 83 percent of respondents felt the economy __ getting worse.
About the state of the nation: people are sceptical about the future of the USA. Tough opinion polls give the same result with different figures, it is in keeping with political disagreement between __ government and society between 2004 and 2008.
A good reference obtained though the US Census 2000 Supplemental Survey, shows that the majority of Americans find (a better verb) their origin(s) in Europe. Nevertheless, what people fell about their origins are (Isn't this a possibility rather than a certainty?) false. Some people qualify their origin as American, which is a patriotic symbol. It also shows that their roots are not very clear. According to government polls, many Americans see immigration as a problem : it explains a raise (a better synonym) in racism in America.

Sherry
