Correction/Thème
Message de kanelux45 posté le 02-04-2017 à 11:08:14 (S | E | F)
Bonjour,

I was a young lawyer. I (had?) rented and set up a little flat as best as posible, on the ground floor of the Cortambert street, worthy to receive my first clients. I missed a domestic, as we said at the time, a domestic capable of doing evrything, and even to make my meals, a domestic always there, always smiling and totally retiring. One of my friends told me about Dolorès. She was spanish and he explained to me Spanish women work hard even though they are poorly paid. Dolorès was orphan, she had neither brother nor sister, no family, which was an advantage as my friend assured me because she can make do with very little since she had nobody to support. She (had) arrived from barcelona one year before, she kept on lookinf for work, in vain, it was a good action to employ her. Dolrès had only one flaw, she cannot speak a word of french but she said she would be disposed to take classes to learn french as quickly as posible. In short, she was roughly perfect and probably honest beacause pious, almost sanctimonious. One day, my friend met her. She came to visit her own employee so that she can help her finding a job, he perceived Dolorès in the kitchen, seated on the side of the chair, she stood straight away by seeing the Master of the house, it seemed to him it was a good sign, she was dressed in black, she seemed to be well – groomed, she stood modestly, she may look bad, she was likely to be sick sometime, Spanich people became ill to take advantage of social laws, it was not only Spanick people, every employees made everything to beacome ill. My friend hated social laws which incited to be indolent. But, he highly recommended me Dolorès.

Hello !

I was a young lawyer. I (had?) rented and set up a little flat as best(boff!) as posible, on the ground floor of the Cortambert street, worthy to receive my first clients. I missed a domestic needed a maid, as we said(they used to say then) at the time, a domestic capable of doing evErything, and even to make my meals, a domestic always there(permanent?), always smiling and totally retiring. One of my friends told me about Dolorès. She was spanish and he explained to me Spanish women work hard even though they are poorly paid. Dolorès was XX orphan, she had neitherno brother nor sister, no family, which was an advantage as my friend assured me because (2she can make do with very little )(1since she had nobody to support)(she could live on .... since ...). She (had) arrived from barcelona one year before, she XXX kept on lookinf for work, in vain, it was a good action to employ her. DolOrès had only one flaw, she cannot- past required speak a word of french but she said she would be disposed (willing to)to take classes(lessons) to learn french as quickly as posible. In short, she was roughly perfect and probably honest beacause pious, almost sanctimonious. One day, my friend met her. She came to visit her own employee so that she can help her finding a job, he perceived Dolorès in the kitchen, seated on the side of the chair, she stood straight away by seeing the Master of the house, it seemed to him it was a good sign, she was dressed in black, she seemed to be well – groomed, she stood modestly, she may look bad, she was likely to be sick sometime, Spanich people became ill SO AS to take advantage of social laws, it was not only Spanick people, but every employees made everything to beacome ill. My friend hated social laws which incited to be indolent. But, he highly recommended me Dolorès.

Courage!
underlined = not idiomatic, clumsy ...
