Bonsoir à tous
je viens de m'inscrire sur votre site car j'aimerais que vous m'aidiez à corriger mes fautes pour mon oral qui aura lieu vendredi (oui je suis un peu à la bourre).
Merci pour vos réponses.

Myths and heroes
I'm going to talk about the notion of myths and heroes. First, I would like to give a definition of a hero. In my opinion a hero is a person who embodies a physical or intellectual power and, due to his noble qualities, like his behavior, his values and his ideas, arouses admiration and can be seen as a model of virtue.
In relation to the notion, the subject of my presentation will be about the evolution of human rights.
We may now wonder how can people be considered as heroes ? First, I will talk about the fight of Malala in Pakistan, and then of Martin Luther King's struggle against segregation in United States.

I.Malala
Malala Yousafzai was a teen living near Pakistan, a dictatorship led by Talibans and religious fanatism, who wrote a diary in 2009 to the BBC and was awarded by the Youth Pakistan Peace Prize in 2011. Malala got the chance to cultive herself and, as Talibans said, her words were as dangerous as weapons of warfare. Thats's why, in 2012, they tried to shoot her down, but she survived by inches. After her recovery, the first picture she posted was showing her at reading a book, meaning that even Talibans couldn't stop her and that she would keep fighting for peace. Indeed, in 2014, she was awarded by the Nobel Peace Prize due to all her efforts made to tell everyone things had to change.
Malala fought to own the rights for everyone to go to school, because as she said «  one child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world ».
Furthermore, she fought to own better conditions of living for women, as she talked of her friend who wanted to become a doctor but was forced to get married when she was young. Otherwise, she fought for peace, because lots of people die under the bullets of Talibans. That's why she has become a model of fighting and her story is known overseas. That allowed her to make a fund to gather more people under her banner.
Even if she was considered as the symbol of infidelity and obscenity, as the Talibans said, she kept fighting even if she knew she could die, It is sure Malala can be considered as a heroin.

But inegalities can also appear in developped countries, like the United States, which I am going to talk about, with MLK struggle.

II.Martin Luther King
Martin Luther King was born in a middle class family in 1929 in Atlanta, in the segregated state of Georgia. He was a civil rights activist during the1950s and 1960s and also the leader of the African American civil rights movement, which was a mass protest movement against racial segregation in United States.
He was well known for his acts of non violent protest and civil disobidience which produced crisis situations and productive dialogues between activists and government authorities, like the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955 after Rosa Parks was arrested, which led to a United States Supreme Court decision that declared segregation in Alabama and Montgomery's buses to be unconstitutional.
Furthermore, he was an incredible orator. His speech "I Have a Dream" is one of the most influential pieces ever and, as he said, he had the dream that his four little children would one day live in a nation where they would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
He hoped that America and the world could become a society where race would not impact a person’s civil rights and he embodied the desire of equality of the Black people in America and and even if he was assasinated in 1968 in Memphis, his soul and his ideas are still here and will last through generations
For everything he has done to put black american on an equal footing with white people, he can clearly be seen as a hero.

CCl : J'ai pas l'inspiration pour le moment ^^

Merci bien !
